Portrait Season

It’s been a mad rush of portraits these school holidays as many families have been inspired by the school break and the beautiful weather to come up to our studio for a session. Some portraits have been classic, inside shoots and others have been more daring braving at times the windy conditions to be rewarded by some beautiful outdoor shots.

I’ve been so busy with the shooting and editing that I am only now getting around to posting some images. I would especially like to thank the wonderful and talented Lana Taylor for assisting me in many of the shoots. Lana is awesome! Below are a mixture of shots from the various sessions over the last couple of weeks. Enjoy.

The Rivera Family are so photogenic! I went to their house on Thursday afternoon to photograph them in their natural enviroment. They live in a beautiful place in Narre Warren North.

Olivia, their youngest was recently born and the family wanted a new shoot with Olivia. We did many individuals different groupings along with the group shot.

The girls, Angelina and Samantha loved having their photos taken.

They were telling each other secrets during their photo shoot (I managed to get out of them who their “secret crush” was though…)

What a beautiful family…

Just after packing up we noticed the fantastic sunset over the Rivera’s back deck, so Sue and Maro headed out for some sunset shots. Thanks to Peter who held up the reflector! Good job!

Mythz – Light FM winner

Mythz won the Emerald Eye Photo shoot from Light FM (89.9) by guessing “Pick Da Flick” correctly. She is the first photo session of the winners (15 in all). It was Mythz’s birthday yesterday, so this photo session served as a special treat for her.

It was soooooo windy, but we both stuck it out, amidst the wind, and the hundreds of scary dogs (well there were a number), we managed to captures some beautiful shots of Mythz.

I won’t say much about this just yet, but this land is quite special…

Heidi and Andrew – So beautiful

This was one of those Weddings that makes you smile every time you think about it. The day was fantastic – the couple, wonderful – the venue – just perfect.

Though it was raining throughout the day, the sun broke through spectacularly for a small window of time. The photographs we took during those moments were some of my all time favourites.

I am looking forward to posting the entire album up on our gallery site this week, but in the meantime, here is a sneak peak… (More on Facebook)

Out of Africa – 31st August

Matt Corby Concert

Matt Corby (Australian Idol) performed on Saturday night in Blackburn. It was great to see our friends, Best Before up there with Matt during the night.
